Metapan dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Santa Tecla's 36. Cuban center Marvin Cairo (203-1991) scored 27 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Brayan Garcia chipped in 25 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) during the contest. responded with 13 points and 9 rebounds and American Nick Moore (198-1991, college: Alliance) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Even a double-double of 16 points, 18 rebounds and 7 assists by Cuban center Marvin Cairo (203-1991) did not help to save the game for Cojute. Pablo Figueroa added 25 points for the guests.
